In this week's SA Artist Spotlight, we're featuring Georgetown:
Georgetown, is an independent band based in Pretoria Gauteng. Their hillbilly-folk sound is the prefect soundtrack for a road trip down the country side. This groups of rascals are also musically talented through their use of diverse instruments o crate the perfect indie-blues infusion of sounds. However, it does not end there. Their voices do not only bounce of walls like a tennis ball but they are perfectly harmonized with each other as well as the instruments they so righteously own. Their 2016 EP titled ‘Banana Jack’ is a good ole representation of their raw talent which can only be fully immersed when blasted at really high volume levels. Be sure to catch them at the Oktoberfest in September if you are in Pretoria. Otherwise, pop onto their Facebook page for more camp time jam dates.
